Awaken Art - Thanksgiving Edition

To start our holiday season focused on the Lord, we will spend time in HIs presence and then create out of that space. 

This event is designed to flood you with the love and peace of Jesus while you create a keepsake to remember your time in His presence. 

Awaken Art is a virtual online creative retreat and a multi-media form of prophetic art. Pastor Carina will lead you in a time of devotion, creative listening to the Holy Spirit, reflecting on the goodness of Jesus and then step-by-step guidance in the creative process.   Check out our page for examples and more about Awaken Art:  https://www.trumpetsoftirzah.com/awakenart

The title of this event - Grateful, Thankful & Blessed

You do not need to consider yourself an artist to join in - just a desire to create with our Creator. If you can use glue, hold a paintbrush, and engage your imagination then you are fully qualified to join us!

We will gather over Zoom, you will NOT need your camera turned on for this event. 

NOTE - you will need your own supplies, they can be simple or abundant.  Plan ahead and pick your supplies with the Holy Spirit. You will need to purchase supplies ahead of time - and we highly recommend dollar store finds!

MUST HAVE SUPPLIES: 

• Artist canvas, canvas board, or foamboard (any size) - feel free to to use other forms of blank canvases such as a plate, small serving tray, or just about anything else that has a large flat area to it. 
• Paint (acrylic or craft paint suggested) At least 2 different colors + a white paint.  
• Paint brushes or paint sponges 
• Words/phrases cut out or printed out
• Photo, magazine cut-out image, or print of something that can be a focal point
• Cup of water to rinse out your paint brushes and paper towels
• Scissors & decorative paper (colored paper, scrapbook paper, etc)

• 3D objects, embellishments, stickers, things that reflect THANKSGIVING to you
• Glue (elmers glue, craft glue, mod podge, gel medium)  
• Notebook paper or a journal to jot down notes/thoughts during our devotional
• Pen, pencil, or marker for note taking

• beads or pearls
• rhinestone stickers or other stickers
• chipboard cut-outs
• feathers 
• ribbon/mesh/netting
