Show Me Your Glory!

I’ve always perceived the glory of God to be the Father’s way to manifest Himself to us. The glory of the Lord is full of His splendor and majesty. The glory of God is the face of Jesus. When the glory of God comes before you, everything changes. His glory envelops us. It draws us into Him and takes us higher. In Exodus, we see how the glory of the Lord would come and fill the tent. I want you to pause and ask the Father to come and fill up the space all around you. Invite the glory of God into your life. Give the Lord permission to have His way. Have faith when you call on the name of the Lord, He hears you and moves on your behalf.

John 11:40

Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you believe [in Me], you will see the glory of God [the expression of His excellence]?"

The word Shekinah is a transliteration of the Hebrew word which means “the One Who

dwells” or “that which dwells”. To dwell means to live in, so literally, the Shekinah glory of God can become a part of your daily life! One amazing fact about the glory of the Lord is how it’s used to describe the light on the mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holies. The Shekinah symbolizes the Divine presence (Exodus 25:8.) The glory of God is pure, perfect and holy and it is full of righteousness and justice. Allow the light of the Lord to penetrate every part of you. In the glory dry bones come to life! His glory is meant to become a place where we get settled into and make it our habitation. Our resting place is in the glory of God, which is Light that illuminates and transforms us. The glory of God, which is manifested in all His attributes together, never passes away; It is eternal. When the glory of God comes it brings His Light to shine upon all things.

Revelation 21:11

Having God’s glory [filled with His radiant light]. The brilliance of it resembled a rare and very precious jewel, like jasper, shining and clear as crystal.

In Exodus 33:18 “ Then Moses said, “Please, show me Your glory!” I love the boldness

of Moses' request. This is after the burning bush experience in Exodus 3. However, you see the hunger in Moses for the more of God. I believe the glory of God creates a yearning for more. Understand that in God there is no end, there is always more. You can feel the desire of Moses to know the depths of the Father and His ways. Moses made this request, even after all the signs and wonders he had experienced. Moses knew God has no end. He understood that we could go from glory to glory and dive deeper into the very presence of God. I encourage you to read Exodus 33 and read Moses' full conversation with God. Let it stir up a fire within. After Moses spent time in the glory his face radiated, too (Exodus 33:19-23). This is such a powerful example of how powerful the glory of God is. How spending time in the glory will transform you. You literally will radiate! Also, remember and be encouraged when you are in the presence of God, nothing stays the same. His glory is all-consuming. Be like Moses and ask the Father now to show you His glory!

Acts 7:55

But he, being FULL of the Holy Spirit and LED by Him, gazed into heaven and saw the glory [the great splendor and majesty] of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God;

When I read about Stephen and how he never waived from his purpose or calling. With his very last breath, he truly reflected the power of the Gospel. Acts 7 says how Stephen was FULL of the Holy Spirit, which enabled him to see and hear beyond his natural circumstance. Stephen was in a higher realm and his complete focus was upon the Lord. In verse 55, we can see that the glory of God drew Stephen off himself and onto God and I believe this took him beyond physical pain. There is an old hymn called “Turn your eyes upon Jesus” and there is a part in this song that says, “Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, In the light of His glory and grace.”

A key to seeing the glory of God in your life is simple. Remember the words of Jesus “…if you

believe in me, you will see the glory of God…” (John 11:40). Don’t overcomplicate things. Simply be bold like Moses and ask the Father to “Please show me Your glory.” Have faith and know your position as a child of the Most High. My prayer for you is to increase your faith and hope this month. To believe that God is going to do exactly as He said, and with Him you really can do all things. Invite the presence of God into your daily life. Remember the fact that God created you to be in a relationship with Him to dwell with you, to be settled in you and all around you in everyday life.

I pray that you realize just how special you are. The Father created you in His image. He

created you to host His precious Holy Spirit. He designed you to be His temple, which is the indwelling of the Shekinah Glory. How amazing is this truth? The next time you start to feel down on yourself remember Jesus died on the Cross for YOU!! The next time the enemy tries to come with his lies. Reminder yourself and tell the liar that You will overcome because you are an overcomer. You are unique and special. You have been created with a purpose. For the glory of the Lord is your portion.

Scriptures to meditate on:

Psalm 132:8

Arise, O Lord, to Your resting place, You and the ark [the symbol] of Your strength.

Isaiah 60:1

Arise, shine, for your light, has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.

John 1:14

And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we {actually} saw His glory,

glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, who is] full of grace and truth (absolutely free of deception).
