Testify with Your Life

Number one is about union and is the key for believers to live their lives. Number two reveals how the Father created us to be in partnership with Him. God created both man and woman to have fellowship with The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. You and I are called to be in relationships and to live in harmony with one another. The word both is defined as two people or two things, which identifies togetherness. In this way, men and women are joined together, two becoming one. In the Jewish culture, there must be at least two witnesses for it to be considered trustworthy. It is how the verification of facts was confirmed - think about that for a second.

Our lives should be a public and living testimony that reveals Jesus. Without even having to speak, our lives should demonstrate the goodness of God. Our lives should point towards Jesus in every way. Testimony is a life dedicated to Jesus as you draw close to the One Who will never leave nor forsake you. Our testimony is powerful. Remember, your journey with the Lord is authentically and uniquely yours. When you begin to align yourself with His way, You will reflect the One Who you focus on. Jesus lived His life like this. To see Jesus is to see and to know the Father. Jesus is the image of God, and He is the exact representation of God. Let your life be a precise representation of Jesus. Be the light in the dark.

Our prayer will be heard when we come together in unity with another believer. Have you ever thought about this? When two believers come together in harmony, our prayer gets supercharged. It says in Matthew 18:20, "Again I say to you, that if two believers on earth agree [that is, are of one mind, in harmony] about anything that they ask; within the will of God], it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." This is a promise given to us by Jesus when we unite and come together. This is such an important key to understand. The Lord will hear your prayer and answer you; we know this because His Word says so. However, it is essential that we know we aren't made to do life alone, and it pleases the Father when we come together in union in praise, worship and prayer. He moves mightily upon our behalf. We need the Body. Unity and companionship are vital. We see this in the example in the beginning of the Bible in Genesis. God, Himself says, "It is not good (beneficial) for the man to be alone; I will make him a help [one who balances him – a counterpart]…." We need one another.

God created us to come together to be complementary. Lifting each other and standing with one another in the highs and lows, and keeping each other balanced and in faith. I think unity unlocks the supernatural in our lives because when we live according to the Word and how God intended for us to, it unlocks a flood of favor over our lives. The Apostle Paul urges believers to live in harmony because it is the way of the Lord. If you are in the division, know this is not God's plan. Pause and seek the Holy Spirit and ask Him to show you how to bring unity into the circumstance. The enemy will try to get you into isolation because he understands when believers unite, there is strength.

1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

We live in a world that emphasizes how powerful it is to stand-alone and to be independent. However, this is contrary to the Word of God. Jesus, Himself, never did anything separate from the Father, and if this is how Jesus, The Son of God, lived, then we to need to do it as well (John 5). We have been given a blueprint of how we should conduct ourselves. This is how we reveal the love of Jesus and spread His light in the world. This is how we let our lives be a testimony of the transformational power of the Cross. Everything about our life should glorify the Lord and testify to His hand upon us. It is incredible how He constantly reaffirms His love and plan for His children. My heart desires that you will know how much the Father loves you as you read this. You are created for a specific purpose and calling that only you can fulfill. You were made to be part of a Godly community, in relationship, building each other up. Who do you have surrounding you? Are they advancing your steps toward your calling and purpose?

It is time to be intentional. Getting around the right people to do life with so that you may advance. Ask yourself, are you a friend that strengthens those around you? Are you encouraging them to stand firm and preserve to fulfill the calling on their life? I had to repent because I once questioned the Lord on why some people weren't in my life and why particular doors had been shut. Then I started to praise the Lord because His ways are higher and perfect. He has a plan and a purpose. Pastor Carina challenged me last week and stirred me to think about the bigger picture beyond myself. To think about the tribe that God has placed me in. I recently heard a preacher say, "The quality of our friends determines the quality of our decisions. The quality of our decisions determines the quality of our legacy." I challenge you to sit with the Holy Spirit and allow Him to speak to you. Let Him shake things up and remove what needs to be removed and then ask Him to fill in those places with whatever He places on your heart. Is your life a living testimony to the One who has saved you?

I invite you to join The Trumpets of Tirzah tribe. We also have our church service every Wednesday, where Pastor Carina releases powerful Biblical foundational teachings. We are building a solid online community.

Scripture to meditate on:

Proverbs 27:17

As iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens [and influences]

another [through discussion].

Psalm 66:16

Come and hear, all who fear God [and worship Him with awe–inspired reverence and obedience], And I will tell what He has done for me.

Prayer:

Lord, take me deeper into Your ways this year. Create in me a clean and pure heart. Remove anything that isn't pleasing to You. Lord, I trust the plan You have for my life. I trust the fact that You ordain my steps. Have Your way, Lord. Holy Spirit, I want to be in a Godly community; lead me there. Lord, I want to be intentional with my days and my time. I want to be in unity with You and all those You place in my life. Holy Spirit, help me to be a light carrier. Allow my life to be a testimony of Your goodness. In Your precious name, Jesus, amen.
