If you lack wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.
This is my testimony of an example of why we need the wisdom of the Lord in our lives. I followed the Lord's instruction and went to beauty school to become an aesthetician. I passed the aesthetician test and got my license. I looked forward to my career in the beauty industry. I planned out how my life would be as an aesthetician. However, the Lord had other plan for me. He highlighted Oral Roberts University. I felt that God wanted me to get a degree. I had already spend nine months of my life at aesthetician schooling. But now I realized a choice was needed - I could either follow my own choice, being an aesthetician and make really good money, or obey God’s prompting to trust in His infinite wisdom. I’m happy to say that I followed the His path for my life. Nothing I learned was wasted even if I didn’t know it where it would bring me. Because I chose to use His wisdom, going to ORU lead me to Trumpets of Tirzah, which then catapulted me into one of the BEST experiences in my life! Trust me when I say God’s wisdom for your life is perfect and He will never fail you.
Wisdom helps us to know when to use or do something while knowledge is the how to use it. We need to pray and ask for wisdom and knowledge from the Father because He is all-knowing and His ways are perfect so we are to trust Him completely.
Let’s pray and ask for God’s wisdom to come into our lives and guide our steps...
Dear Father,
Your divine wisdom is far beyond our understanding. Thank you that we can place our trust in You. We ask for Your wisdom to help us navigate all the seasons and knowledge on how to apply it in our lives. Guide and help us to discern the correct paths, directions, and choices that arise each day. Teach us, Holy Spirit, to listen and adhere to Your advice. Thank you Jesus for making this available to us!
